Are the Miners Still Captive?

Our hearts soared and we were all jumping with smiles and applause as we witnessed the news about the miners rescue in Chile.

They are safe, they have been saved.

But, is that really true?  Amid all the welcome back expressions and hugs, isn’t there some haunting, lingering effects that still needs to be addressed?  Now I’m not referring to the politics, safety conditions or other mechanical or physical aspects.  I’m talking about the human condition – relationships, communication and feelings.  Perhaps all that went on might still be keeping these miners captive.

I welcome your thoughts and comments.  I will share mine too as we recognize what creates true freedom.
